A number of membership levels are provisionally offered to reflect career stage and level of experience. We also offer institutional and industrial memberships enabling academia and industry to connect through this rapidly expanding and vibrant network.

Membership runs annually from 1st Oct to end of Sept in that cycle.

| Student affiliate – full time student on an interdisciplinary science programme run by an institutional member, or an accredited programme. | Simple online application demonstrating registration on an appropriate degree programme. | £5 |
| Associate member – a graduate from an interdisciplinary BSc, MSci or MSc programme from an institutional member or accredited programme, or who can demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary science through their professional practice, e.g. PhD students, techs (this includes those who have studied at non-member institutions or on non-accredited programmes) | CV demonstrating graduation from an appropriate programme or outlining relevant professional practice. | £10 |
| Member – Three or more years of postgraduate interdisciplinary experience, study or professional activity beyond associate member, or other experience through professional training and CPD. | CV and/or career overview statement demonstrating interdisciplinary experience, activity or study. | £20 |
| Fellow – Members who have made a prominent contribution to the advancement of interdisciplinary science and no less than 5 years’ experience in a position of senior responsibility in Natural Sciences/interdisciplinary science | CV and/or career overview statement demonstrating experience together with a statement from at least one reference. | £20 This category is currently under revision and will be available shortly. |
